"It snowed Mommy!" These are the words that woke me up at 6:45 on Monday morning! Yep, it really happened, the weather guys were right - we woke up Monday morning to about 6 inches of snow. It’s being described as a “historic storm that paralyzed metro Atlanta and North Georgia” and “will go down in the record books."
On Sunday the grocery stores were packed with people buying bread, milk, and eggs. Area schools were closed all week (included Ella Rae's) and basically the city was shut down. Brad's office was closed Monday and Tuesday, so he worked from home all day both days - except for a little lunch break trip to play in the snow. He returned to work on Wednesday - he said he had a deadline...uhhh....while I know this to be true, I also know that Daddy had major cabin fever and needed to get outa' here and back to work. It was nice having him home though!
Overall we have really enjoyed the snow and relaxing at home. We went sledding with friends and even enjoyed smores over our fire pit one day! Beau and Jackson even enjoyed a little bit of the snow!
Today mother nature let the sun shine a bit, still icy conditions out there but most roads were navigable. We actually headed to playgroup and McDonald's - a first all week!! I do welcome our routine again next week!
