Ella Rae’s 4th Birthday was extra special this year since she had a new baby sister to help her celebrate! In lieu of a big party we kept things simple. We talked for weeks about visiting the “baby hospital” and letting her select her own baby from Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia. She couldn’t wait! She really wanted Ginny to come too so Teresa and Caroline (her mom) and our new little family of 5 headed to adopt Ella Rae’s first cabbage patch doll. We had a great time - watched a cabbage patch delivery, selected some accessories for baby (bottle and new diaper bag) and then finally found the perfect little girl to adopt - Addy Grace. She was so proud! We went to lunch afterwards and had a Minnie Mouse Birthday Party! My friend, Kerri, once again made some beautiful and delicious Minnie cupcakes! It was a lot of fun!
We actually celebrated for days...we tend to do this with birthdays around here. I brought cupcakes to school so she could celebrate with her friends - she is always so excited to have me there at school...it’s precious and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to do it. We had more cupcakes at home and each time we sang and she would blow out candles again!
Our tradition of decorating her bedroom door with streamers and balloons was once again a big hit and she always asks us to leave it up for several days. And of course we do and they run through them each day.
Mimi was in town for her actual birthday which was fun and special. She enjoyed her new make up and lessons in application.
