Tubes for Alden!

Our sweet boy has been struggling with ear infections for months! We just couldn't seem to get rid of them so we finally decided enough is enough and off to the ENT we went. They ran several tests and determined that poor Alden had 60% hearing loss and was in a lot of discomfort. Dr. W was awesome and recommended tubes and also removal of his adenoids. AND he recommended we do it the next day because it was so bad. Alden was such a trooper and funny! They gave him versed to relax him in order to start the IV...this was hilarious. He was so goofy! Brad and I were a bit emotional watching as they took our boy and wheeled him down the hall to surgery. Yuck! He was in and out in a little over an hour.  Dr.W said he won the award for the most fluid drained from behind his eardrum and the largest adenoids! We are so grateful for our healthcare system and especially for Dr. W who comforted us and prayed with us before taking Alden in for surgery. It was a huge success and Alden is so much better! He's feeling better, hearing better, talking better and has no more infections!! Thank you God!!
