October:
Halloween was cute this year because Ella Rae enjoyed getting dressed in her costume – a Lady Bug! Alden was a pumpkin but hated his costume – it was to hot and this boy does NOT like to be hot. We had a fall party at Mommy & Me with all Ella Rae’s friends and then one at school. We attended fall festivals, Mimi came into town, went on a choo-choo train ride with daddy, watched lots of football and saw Disney On Ice at Philips arena. Whew! Alden had his 2 month well visit and weighed 12 lbs 15oz...big boy! Oh and it’s potty time. While we’re not rushing into it just yet (trying to focus more on when she’s developmentally ready vs. age), but we have put several potties around the house. Here’s one (thanks Kim) and she loves it. Of course Ella Rae and Ginny spent a lot of time playing too. BFF!
November:
Our precious baby boy was dedicated on November 1st! It was hilarious and beautiful! God is definitely showing me that I can plan all I want to and it still may not be just how I envisioned it. I’m learning to go with the flow! Sorta! He spit up all over Pastor Mike and cried the entire time. But most importantly on that day we made a promise to the Lord to do everything within our power to raise Alden in a godly way, prayerfully until he can make a decision on his own to follow God. And he wore his Auburn booties like Ella Rae did when she was dedicated. On a different note Ella Rae learned to yell, “Whatayahave?” Yep, she loved her first trip to The Varsity. And we went to see The Wiggles with the McNeely’s! She loved it (and had her first taste of Cotton Candy – thanks for sharing Ginny)! Our attempt at pictures with Santa this year was a bust. Last year she loved it and sat so sweetly on his lap…this year she wouldn’t even look at him. So here’s our unplanned family portrait with Santa. Next year we’ll dress up too! We spent Thanksgiving with our McNeely Family and had a very special time. We love you T&T!!
December:
December began with my birthday! Brad took me out for a yummy steak dinner and then a movie. Oh and we finally found a babysitter we love and trust so it was the first night Ella Rae (and Alden) had stayed with a paid babysitter. Yahoo! Ella Rae loves her! We also went to visit Brad’s grandma (she’s 91) and Aunt Peggy in Marietta when Aunt Nena was still in town and that was fun. Next we went to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta with Teresa and Aunt Melissa. She loved the grocery cart/kitchen and water table. She was worn out and fast asleep before we even left the parking lot to come home. The next day my friend Leigh and her daughter, Mary Folger, came to stay the weekend. The girls played so well together and we actually got some Christmas shopping done. Lastly (for now) we attended Ella Rae’s school Christmas party. Daddy even got to come. We had pizza, a Happy Birthday Jesus cookie cake and did a craft. It was so sweet! She really loves it there and her teacher Ms. Rachel!
After reading and typing all of this it’s no wonder I’m so tired. Wow!

I love to hear your updates... let me just say that you are so brave to take a 2 month old to Disney on Ice. I was too nervous Hudson would pitch a fit to take him out to eat. Bravo!!!
