Weary Week!

It has been a tough week here at Team Hames. Mommy and Ella Rae have been sick with sinus stuff, our house was being painted (did a great job just a bit overwhelming) and Jackson escaped twice! The first day Jackson got away he somehow found his way home after about 1 hour; I was freaking out. Then on Friday both boys escaped...Beau came home after about 15 minutes but not Jackson he was gone for 3 HOURS. It was dark and cold and we were so scared that we had lost him. We had planned to attend the neighborhood Thanksgiving Warm-Up Assembly Dinner with our friends Greg and Kelly(Noah's mommy and daddy for all our blog followers). I quickly realized that wasn't going to happen and went by Kelly's to tell her the news. She said, "We're not going either....we're coming to help!" I couldn't believe it, they were awesome. I set out to search for Jackson (Ella Rae was at my sweet neighbor Vickie's house so I could go look)while waiting for Brad to hurry home from work and Kelly and Noah stayed at the house in case he came back. Brad eventually got home... so armed with winter gear and flashlights he and Greg set out to look as well. After about 2 hours of searching by car and foot we borrowed our neighbors golf cart (it has headlights) and Brad started driving the course. At 8pm my phone rang and it was Brad..."I found him, I'm on hole #15...come and get us." I have never driven so quickly! Our Jackson was home safe! So to make up for messing up the Assembly Dinner outing (they were having some yummy food) and to thank Greg and Kelly for there help on Saturday night we hosted the 1st Annual Thanksgiving Warm-Up Dinner at our house. They brought some yummy bones for the boys and a sweet card (see below)! Jackson slept all day Saturday!
Here was the menu:
Honey Glazed Ham
Cranberry Berry Orange Relish
Sausage and Apple Stuffing
Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Sweet Potato Soufflé
Button Rolls
Festive Cranberry Punch
Apple Crisp Dessert
